GNG assembles team for fresh Komfi drive

Yorkshire-based GNG Group, manufacturer of performance foam products for the healthcare, sports and retail mattress markets, is set to launch a vacuum-packed mattress range under its Komfi brand.
This is a new venture for the company, following the appointment of [ex-Breasley] Stuart Hibbert as sales director for the Consumer Products Division, plus a significant six-figure investment in new plant and machinery and additional new fleet for Komfi nationwide deliveries.
GNG’s MD, Phil Whittell, says: “For the past few months we have been focused on the very important job of producing medical mattresses for the NHS. However, this has not stopped us from looking forward and developing new products for when life returns to the ‘new normal’. Since joining us in February, Stuart has been working hard with our production team, designing a completely new Komfi mattress collection for UK retailers, and we are very excited about the upcoming launch.”
In readiness for this, a team of sales agents has been appointed, including: Nigel Hillier, covering the South West and South Wales, West Midlands and Staffordshire; Jason Hillier, the South East, London, Essex, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and East Anglia; Edward Bacon, the North West, North Wales, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire; Graham Dickinson, the North East, Yorkshire, Humberside and North Lincolnshire; and Mike Marshall in Scotland.
Stuart Hibbert comments: “We have brought together a very experienced team, with some of the most respected names in the bed industry. They bring a wealth of knowledge and high levels of customer service to the Komfi brand, and everyone is fired up and raring to go! We also have Louise Chung coming on board as a consultant, to work with me on developing business with the key group accounts. Her passion and drive, coupled with her project management skills, will be a major asset to the sales team.”
The new Komfi Collection features the Active and Sensory ranges and comprises 10 models, from an entry-level foam mattress to a premium-feel 3000 pocket and a luxury all-foam option. The Komfi branding has also benefited from a refresh, which will be carried through to new in-store PoS and marketing material.
