Corsicana Honors Three Sales Executives With Top Award

Corsicana Mattress Co. has recognized three of its regional sales executives with its annual Eagle Award, the highest honor bestowed on a member of the company’s sales team.
The recipients were: John Knight, an Atlanta-based territory manager who has been with Corsicana since 2001; Joey Showers, a New Mexico-based regional sales representative who has been with the company since 2001; and Mario Holguin, who manages the company’s sales in Southern California since joining in early 2018.
All three were awarded a Baccarat crystal American Eagle. The annual award recognizes Corsicana’s top sales performers for their professionalism, customer focus and sales growth during the year. This is the second year the company has presented the award.
“Last year was a tremendous year for Corsicana overall. While we saw outstanding growth throughout the country last year, these three executives posted strong gains in their territories,” said Michael Thompson, chief executive officer of Corsicana Mattress. “Under their watch, the New Mexico, Atlanta and Southern California territories have posted consistent revenue gains setting the standard for their peers.”
In addition to territory sales growth, every Eagle Award winner must exhibit the company’s “five Es” – energy, enthusiasm, edge, engagement and execution.
A 30-year veteran of the mattress industry, Knight spent more than a decade as a sales representative for Simmons. Showers has been with Corsicana for 19 years, and has been part of the industry for 35 years. Holguin has been with Corsicana for 11 years. He joined the company following a stint with SilverRest Mattress for several years leading West Coast Sales.
