Fairfield Debuts its First Licensed Collection, Libby Langdon for Fairfield, at High Point
Fairfield announced that this October at High Point Market, it will debut its first-ever designer collaboration with New York-based interior designer, product designer, author, and lifestyle expert Libby Langdon. The complete home collection includes upholstery and casegoods, as well as Fairfield’s foray into a new product category, bedroom furniture. Langdon, who is originally from High Point, NC, and grew up with parents in the industry, is coming home to launch a collection of 40 pieces including everything from stools, side tables, and consoles, to beds, dining tables, and sectional sofas.Libby’s design aesthetic and style make her the perfect partner for this collaboration”, explains Dixon Mitchell, Fairfield President and COO. “It has been a pleasure working with Libby on the collection and we are excited to unveil the full product line during High Point Market. Fairfield’s reputation for using masterful craftsmanship to create fashion-forward designs combined with Libby’s expertise and eye for design will undoubtedly place Fairfield in front of a new customer base as they source product.”The designs combine Langdon’s signature ‘easy, elegant, everyday’ style with Fairfield’s quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. “It’s been an incredible experience working with all of the fantastic folks at Fairfield,” said Langdon. “They take pride in good design and skilled craftsmanship, but there’s also the human component that is so special. It’s an incredible feeling to know that a piece of furniture was actually made by hand.” As for the inspiration for the collection: “The jumping off point came from my one-on-one time with clients and consumers, listening to what they like and don’t like; how they live in their spaces; and what their needs are. I often find that there’s a piece I want for a project but cannot find—like a chair with the perfect leg, a table that expands, a chest with stunning metal detail, or that one piece with just the right dimensions. If I’m needing these items consistently on different projects and I can’t find them (and neither can the three other people in my office), I figured that would be the perfect place to start designing.”In celebration of the new collection, the high-end furniture manufacturer will showcase the entire collection in their High Point showroom, located at 200 N. Hamilton, Space 100. Join Fairfield and Langdon for a market full of happenings and events:Friday, October 18 – Monday, 21″Win a Room Furnished by Libby: #LibbyLangdonHome Giveaway”
